ABOUT CLOD ENSEMBLE
Clod Ensemble creates provocative, finely crafted performance and participation projects driven by movement and music.
For 28 years, director Suzy Willson and composer Paul Clark have developed a highly original performance language. Each Clod Ensemble production has a unique visual identity and distinctive musical score. Our performances are made in collaboration with dancers, actors, musicians, medics, architects and orchestras. Clod Ensemble has presented work in London, across the UK and internationally in venues including the Southbank Centre, The Lowry, the Wales Millennium Centre and the Public Theater New York.
Clod Ensemble also has a strong reputation for providing innovative community and education projects. Our projects have been utilised by people of all ages - in particular teachers, artists and healthcare professionals. Clod Ensemble is a winner of the Times Higher Award for Excellence and Innovation in the Arts.

ABOUT THE ROLE
If you are looking for an opportunity to gain work experience and a qualification, then an apprenticeship with Clod Ensemble might be for you. As Junior Content Creator you will learn about many aspects of creating content for a digital audience while also gaining hands-on experience alongside the Clod Ensemble team. You will be working towards a Level 3 Content Creator qualification with Gingernut Training.

The focus of this role will be working with Clod Ensemble’s rich archive of multimedia materials. They aredrawn from across Clod Ensemble’s body of work, taking in artforms such as music, dance, visual art and theatre. With support from Heritage Lottery Fund, our plan is to activate our archive in exciting and dynamic ways across our communications platforms and beyond.

You will be creating new content based around the archive. The intention of this content will be to engage a diverse and growing audience with Clod Ensemble’s work. This content is likely to include promotional materials for events and programmes, producing and editing images/videos showcasing archival materials, audio production, and creating informative graphics, website-specific content and other forms of content as necessary.

Through this work, you will acquire a wide range of transferable skills and gain first-hand experience of arts work as part of an industry-leading organisation. This apprenticeship is ringfenced for LIFT borough residents aged 18+ - See below for more detail on eligibility requirements.

Duties

Key responsibilities are providing 1st line support to business-critical systems on a day to day basis, maintaining key stakeholder relations, incident management and ticket tracking to resolution
  • Assist the main application support helpdesk with user issues
  • Opportunities to work and learn along side Dev Team
  • Ensuring issues are dealt with promptly and escalating where necessary
  • Engage in daily stand ups with tech team
  • Support in creating change request documents against the business requirements
  • Send out business communication for any downtime or outages as per support process
  • Producing weekly status reports based on incoming tickets
  • Adhere and maintain support processes
  • Produce application support documentation
  • Ensure internal application change requests are tested correctly (QA)
  • Work closely with the rest of the Technology team to deliver bespoke requirements which can be supported aptly.

Essential criteria

Please check you meet the eligibility requirements for LIFT X Havas Platform:
  • A resident of a LIFT borough (Camden, Hackney, Islington, and Tower Hamlets)
  • Are Aged 18-25 or Aged 25+ and from an underrepresented community including people from black and Asian minority ethnic backgrounds, women, lone parents and those with a disability.
  • Have a keen interest in starting a career in the advertising, communication, and media industry
  • Are looking to take your first steps in the sector with a paid internship
  • Are available and committed to paid work for the full 6-month placement
This programme aims to create opportunities for people with little or no experience of the creative industries, and we will prioritise applicants with less than six month’s relevant work experience.

Desirable criteria

  • Understanding of ticketing systems (Freshservice, Zendesk, Freshdesk etc)
  • Understanding of Azure DevOps / JIRA tracking
  • Any Knowledge of Oracle / SQL /Post Grese
  • Any Knowledge of Python / .NET / C# or other coding languages
  • Any knowledge of Java Script / Type Script / CSS / React
  • Any Project management skills
  • Understanding of ITIL or lifecycle management
