Job Summary
You will gain experience within two areas of our People Team. Spending your first 3 months supporting the Talent Development team, and the other 3 with the Business Partnering/Ops team.

Talent Development duties will include:
  • You will be our team champion of all thing’s development and wellbeing, and an advocate for our industry leading learning and development programme HKX Campus, and health and wellbeing initiative, Havas Equalise.
  • You’ll be the centre of HKX Campus and Havas Equalise running smoothly, helping to manage our inboxes and attendance across sessions.
  • You’ll also have the chance to flex your creative skills and support us with our internal branding for newsletters, calendar updates and social media promotion.
  • Building relationships with our external suppliers and supporting with in-person events and workshops to ensure they run smoothly.
  • Business Partnering/Ops duties will include:
  • You will be our team champion of the employee life cycle. You'll be part of the team that ensures employees have an amazing experience from the moment they join the company to the time they leave.
  • You'll learn how to respond to HR admin and general queries, which means you'll get to interact with employees from across the company and help them with their concerns. Whether it's a question about their benefits or a request for information, you'll be there to provide support and guidance.
  • Not only that, but you'll update HR systems, ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date, which is vital for the smooth running of the HR function.
  • Building relationships with managers and stakeholders will be a key part of your role, and you'll get to demonstrate your friendly, helpful, and proactive approach.
This is a ‘hybrid’ role, which means that candidates will be required to work some of time in the office and some time working from home. The exact split of time across the office and home will be dependent on each team and the requirements of the work tasks on any given week. However, Platformers should expect to be in the office up to 100% of the time, if required.

*This role is part of the HKX Platform x LIFT programme a 6-month in-depth learning experience for people wanting to get into the advertising, communication, and media industry. The programme is ideal for anyone who likes brands, culture, and communication. You’ll be a part of the real team, working on real briefs, doing real work, for real clients.

The programme will run from May – November 2023 and you must be available for full time work for the duration of the programme to be considered.

Essential criteria

We do not require you to have qualifications. This Platform role is designed for those who possess the right skills and attitude, rather than qualifications.
  • Good administration skills.
  • Familiarity with business software such as Microsoft Office.
  • A high level of confidentiality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work accurately, with attention to detail.
  • Enjoy working with people.
Please check you meet the eligibility requirements for LIFT X Havas Platform:
  • A resident of a LIFT borough (Camden, Hackney, Islington, and Tower Hamlets)
  • Are Aged 18-25 or Aged 25+ and from an underrepresented community including people from black and Asian minority ethnic backgrounds, women, lone parents and those with a disability.
  • Have a keen interest in starting a career in the advertising, communication, and media industry
  • Are looking to take your first steps in the sector with a paid internship
  • Are available and committed to paid work for the full 6-month placement
  • This programme aims to create opportunities for people with little or no experience of the creative industries, and we will prioritise applicants with less than six month’s relevant work experience.
