Employer: Set Creative
Contract: Permanent role
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Salary: From £24000 dependent on experience
Location: London, we work in our Clerkenwell offices on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays, with Mondays & Fridays from home (unless a project dictates otherwise!)

About the role

Set Creative are currently recruiting for a Junior Production Manager. Supporting the technical team in the delivery of projects large and small. You’ll be talented and enthusiastic with an understanding of technical live event production. You’ll have a keen interest in design technology and a working knowledge of digital & social media including streaming. You’ll have excellent communication skills and enjoy problem solving. Practical skills are a bonus as is a knowledge of Lighting, Sound, Video or Set building. Mainly, you’re passionate about turning a creative idea into reality.



Duties

What you’ll be doing
  • To work across SET Live projects to ensure the technical delivery is done to the highest standards, reporting to our Technical Director
  • To deliver the technical aspects of smaller projects and to assist on larger projects
  • To support managing freelancers who are brought onboard to deliver the technical aspects of projects
  • In collaboration with project teams and directors, to actively manage the early stages of projects, including being involved in developing pitch budgets
  • To work with the project management teams to monitor the financial status of projects, to ensure they meet client budgets and maintain desired margin.
  • To support the Technical Director in meeting and communicating with existing and prospective suppliers in order to equip the SET Creative delivery teams with the most relevant suppliers and ensure SET Creative is maximizing its commercial relationships with suppliers
  • You will be liaising with all departments including: budgeting, schedules, crew management, trucking, graphics (print and digital), Studio, Rigging, Scenic, Lighting, Sound and Video
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • A passion for delivering high-quality production and exceeding client’s expectations
  • Excellent communication, leadership and team working skills
  • This role will include UK and international travel as well as working non-standard hours

Essential criteria

What we are looking for
  • Ideally you’ve got experience in live events or Theatre production
  • Knowledge of Vectorworks or other CAD programs is a bonus
  • All-round knowledge of production disciplines: sound, lighting, video, rigging, staging, scenery and technical integration, transport, logistics and health & safety
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks
  • Comfortable building relationships with colleagues and clients
