Decode my Future 
12 week web development programme | 5 June - 21 August | 18-24 year olds | Not in education or employment | Applications close 28 April

Interested in web-design, tech and where it can take you but not sure where to start? If so, our 12 week (+6 months of after care) programme may be for YOU! t’s available to anyone aged 18-24 years old and based in Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Camden or Islington who are not in education or employment.

Shapeways have partnered up with some amazing partners, including one of the world’s leading tech-giants, to deliver an exciting, holistic and TOTALLY FREE course, worth £3k per head. 

The course is aimed at bringing you up to industry level, so that you are able to work as a Junior Front-End Developer and/or your chosen Creative and Digital Industry (CDI) pathway, including entrepreneurship. We will provide you with fundamental training in web-design. Along with our partners we will also provide mentorship and career development opportunities including paid work-experience. Additional information

  • A free 12 Weeks programme with 10 of those focused on learning WordPress website development (Promotional Website & Ecommerce Website, each participant ends up with a personalised site at the end of it) and 2 final weeks at the end of the programme will feature an introduction to coding (HTML & CSS).
  • Each session is 3 hours long, twice a week. 1:1 and group session environments will allow our participants to get the teaching that best suits them.
  • Additional 30 minute of 1:1 focused on developing interpersonal skills to build their employability and confidence in their skills.
  • The programme is heavily focused on gaining jobs and work experience in the tech and digital industry. It is portfolio based and following the completion of the programme, each participants will have 2 portfolios to show to employers.
  • Once the programme is completed, participants will be given the opportunity to gain work experience with Shapeways and also potentially engage in freelance opportunities building upon their skills learned on the programme
  • Programme start: June 2023
