Description

With Intelligence is a leading global tech and data company based in One London Wall, the Barbican, and provides data and news information as well as networking events for the financial industry.

The accounts payable team is looking for an enthusiastic new team member to join and train as a finance apprentice.

As well as receiving training and a qualification in AAT at level 2 or 3, you will be working in the three main areas of AP which looks after invoices based on Overheads, Events and Freelancers which will be clearer in time, but rest assured you will have full support of all the team.

Duties

You will be responsible for the Events area for the business which will mainly include processing all supplier/vendor invoices, dealing with any queries from the business or suppliers/vendors, reconciling their accounts as and when required and making sure that all banking details are up to date and correctly saved in the finance system. You will also support in areas when other team members are on annual leave or due to sickness.

Over time more responsibility will be given for you to gain experience and knowledge within the AP function and in the wider finance environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the management of accounts payable inbox (cover when manager is on leave or due to sickness)
  • Processing invoices on FinancialForce
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Performing supplier reconciliations
  • Assisting with processing and reconciling credit card expenses
  • Support the wider finance team as and when required.

Essential criteria

Requirements and Skills
  • Previous purchase ledger experience would be nice but not essential.
  • Effective team player with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to manage your own workload and work under pressure.
  • Worked within a multi-currency environment would be beneficial.
  • Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
  • Customer service and communication skills are essential.
  • Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles
  • Excellent MS Excel skills

Essential eligibility for apprenticeship:
  • Maths and English at GCSE (min. Grade 3 or above) or functional skills
  • Have permission to work in the UK
  • Not have an exsiting apprenticeship or degree in the subject
Successful candidate will be required to carry out an assessment to determine level of apprenticeship*
