This role is part of the Havas x LIFT Platform Internship programme; a unique placement experience with global agency Havas, in the advertising, communication and media sector.

Role and Agency: Production Assistant Internship - Havas Play

Production Services Department

The Production Services Department at Havas Play is responsible for bringing ideas to life. An integrated team of makers responsible for delivering the execution of work within time and budget, whilst also striving obsessively to make things special. Working with both our in-house content creation studio and external partners we have outstanding capabilities across film, design, content, stills, digital and post-production.

Duties

Production Assistant Internship - Havas Play

This is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in all aspects of production, to learn new skills whilst also making a vital contribution to the team. You will support our Producers in various aspects of their roles including:
  • Project Co-ordination & Administrative Support
Assisting in the coordination of schedules and resources.
  • Collaborating with different teams to ensure clear communication and workflow throughout the production process
Providing administrative support, including organizing meetings, managing calendars, and handling key documents.
  • Logistics Management:
Helping coordinate logistics for shoots, including locations, permits, equipment rentals.
  • Budget Tracking:
Assisting in monitoring and tracking project budgets, including keeping records of expenses and invoices.
  • Research, Learning and Development:
Conducting research on industry trends, competitors, and new technologies to contribute valuable insights to the production process and contribute to the team's growth.
  • Quality Control:
Ensuring the quality and consistency of deliverables by proofing work for accuracy and checking against project guidelines.
  • Shoot Attendance as a Runner:
Actively participating in shoots as a runner, assisting with various tasks such as set organization, equipment setup, and addressing on-the-day needs to ensure a smooth production process.

Essential criteria

No requirement for any prior work experience but a demonstrable passion for both production and culture would clearly be an advantage.

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate some or all of the following skills:

  • Strong organisational capabilities and attention to detail
  • The ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Good basic numeracy skills
  • Familiarity and basic competence with standard software (eg Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • A team player, someone that loves to collaborate but can also be productive working alone.
  • The most important thing is that you bring your energy, a strong work ethic and a curiosity to digest all the knowledge that we can offer you.
